I'd have to say all in all the villain was a pretty decent, fair guy

First of all, he had the decency to see if the game would even go into game seven before launching his plan. No game seven, no party.

Then he very decently only reluctantly shoots a hostage or two at the end of each period, giving the powers that be plenty of time to avoid any unpleasantness.

He knows full well JCVD is running around dismantling all his explosives and very fairly lets him know how many bombs there are and indulges him in game of allowing him to try and beat the clock so to speak, before time runs out.

He knows he's got JCVD's kid. Could shoot her at any time - no odds to him surely - but he doesn't. What a guy!

Then despite telling them they have until the end of the third period, the game goes into overtime. What does he do? He gives them the overtime as well! Why would he do that? What difference would it make to him whether the game was still going... But still that's just the kind of guy he is.

But still...

I don't think that murder and terrorist by default make ANYONE "nice and decent" no matter how many "redeeming features" they may have like say err not killing anyone like that, and why would we DOUBT it?

Would you say any of that if he did something ELSE seriously wrong?

Never in my life have I seen a post so sarcastic but accurate.
