Powers Boothe

This guy plays an excellent bad guy in an otherwise sub-par movie...I know this movie is essentially a piss poor die hard movie, but I'm imagining Powers Boothe as a Die Hard villain and I think he matches up well with Alan Rickman and Jeremy Irons. I could see some excellent back and forth between him and Bruce Willis. He seemed to be underused in this movie and his death was weak, but he has a lot of good lines in the few scenes he is in.

Oh for more villains that are more realistic.

He is so sexy in that tuxedo.

Agreed

He was bad ass.

Y'know, I could eat a peach for hours

Agreed regarding Powers Boothe.

That big jaw he has and his accent just steal any movie he is in.

reply

Agreed! He was good as the villain in this movie!

Prostitute: What the *beep* are you doing?
Johnny: I'm gonna kill a bunch of people.

Sub-par movie? I thought this was a first rate action movie! Probably the best Van Damme big budget movie.

Big Budget, low revenue; it cost 13 million more than it grossed

He was a good bad guy. Loved this film growing up.

He didn't do much between this film and "24 season 6"

There was Frailty which came out in 2001. I don't want to spoil it but Powers Boothe has a significant role in the movie. Good performance.

He's also one of the only good things about Sin City 2: A Dame To Kill For. Really easy to hate in that.

Very underrated and underutilized actor.

Was his character's name ever even said in the movie?
