TV series?

This movie would make a great series. Lenny and Mace are fantastic characters, addictive media is everywhere, and VR's now a reality. The social themes are more relevant than they were in 1995.
Produced by Showtime or Hbo with a competent director and writers it could be awesome. I mean, they're making a Johnny Mnemonic series for godsake, why not Strange Days.
