I'm actually disappointed they kissed. I loved their friendship together and the fact that they hooked up kinda ruined it

shareYou are completely wrong. The kiss showed how much Lenny cared for/loved Mace. Throughout the film you could see how Mace truly loved Lenny, but Lenny was too consumed with "saving" Faith. Would you know kiss a friend, depending on the circumstances, if they did everything Mace did for Lenny?
Always look for the positive in every situation.
I think the disappointment he's referring to is what a lot of critics made of the kiss in 1995, and that was the tone and subject matter of the movie divulges into this happy Hollywood ending. IMO I think it makes sense that Lenny really cares for Mace and it's a relief when he finally shows her how much he cares, but when you think about it the scene does feel 'sappy' and tacked on
I still love the scene, as I love the scene where William Fichtner blows his brains out and Vincent D'Nofrio pulls the gun on Mace, but that was also very unnecessary.
