Can't believe anyone actually liked this

It started out decently. Right about when I would have expected the movie to get going, the credits start rolling.

The only positive about this movie was that I rented it. If I'd bought it I would have been pissed.

A true waste of 35 minutes, as well as a DVD. Everything in the Documentary part of this movie is old news, and has been repeated in every other Documentary style Storm chasing movie and TV show.

Question. Could an IMAX movie about chasing tornadoes put you to sleep?

Answer. Yes

There are more exciting tornado minutes on youtube.

Now if you want to see the inside of a weather station with a bunch of folks
pointing at computer screens and maps, and guessing which way a storm is going.... strap in! IMAX no less!

It's funny, I actually saw this on IMAX back when it was out, which was around the same time as some big Hollywood blockbuster about tornados (Twister?). And the first poster kind of hit the nail on the head. I remember the "big shot" and thought, "wha...?"

Granted, it was the first time I'd ever heard of storm chasing and what those people do, so it was educational. But hardly an IMAX-worthy experience, and I'm sure whatever techniques and science and tornado shots that made up this film have long been surpassed by half an episode of the Discovery channel series by the (almost) same name.
