m moore and the 'special' clause

A comment for this film mentioned that unlike michael moore, 'spin' was unbiased.

I've developed a dislike for the moore ghetto people have built.

They admit films are constructions, they admit media are constructors, yet no matter how much you show this (in a movie like 'spin') they always make michael moore extra, extra, "special"ly biased.......it confuses me.

Like "you know, yeah, EVERY documentary is a point of view, but moore is like Extra more so like extra uniquely biased".

There's something in people's brains that can't accept moore's films as any other film with imperfections and technique. It's not about good or bad, its just that he isn't his own genre or category. He's made an island, like you can't dislike his movie just because you disagree with him, you actually have to make him superhumanly unique in a way that of course doesn't tarnish other media, even media that admittedly manipulates.

its just odd to me, and I'm not a moore fanatic, It just seems anyone who saw his TV material saw something that fit in the realm of tv, hate it or not, even left wing kids put him in his own niche, its bizarre.

anyway.

I've found a lot of left leaning groups and such have distanced themselves from Michael Moore. Moore uses editting tools to change facts rather then present facts that present his side of the case. There is a difference.

People don't dislike Moore's films because they disagree with him, though many do. It is Moore's editting and manipulation of scenes that gain him his harshest critics. This is why he is distinguished from other documentarians.

There's a difference between being biased and being a complete bullsht liar. Moore is the latter.
