Hi, in your opinion, was the above quote, the lyrics to the song "Female of the Species" by the British rock band Space, released about a year later after this film, based on THIS movie?

Not really, that saying is as old as time itself and in the animal kingdom the female is most of the time more deadly than the male species. It's most likely that the film took that notion and expanded it into a visual metaphor.
