Song at the end is missing - need help

OK, guys, if someone can help me out here I'll be especially grateful to them - I saw Ski School 2 over a decade ago and enjoyed it - I forgot most of it but the one thing I remember about the movie was that it (as well as the Ski School part one) had a killer soundtrack - flash forward over a decade later and, lo and behold, I'm watching a DVD copy of Ski School part 2. Now I'm getting to the end part of the movie just before the start of the rolling credits where the two leads wallow in the snow for a bit and then kiss - all the while expecting the strains of one of the best indie rock songs I have ever heard start blaring out of my DVD player's speakers - and then - nothing. Just the same boring instrumental muzak played over the last shot of the movie, then fade out and the end credits start rolling in.

I'm like - huh?! What happened to the music? There WAS a song played at the end of the movie by an indie rock band - but it's not there anymore. Am I going senile in my thirties? Is my mind playing tricks on me? There was nothing but some instrumental music being payed all over the end credits. I did some digging around and fund out that it's a song called 'Darling' by Anyhowtown - it was one of the top alternative songs in Canada back in 1994 - I have never heard it played anywhere else since! So it's not a figment of my imagination; What a relief! But that begats the question: WHY was the song in question omitted from the end credits in the DVD version? (The first time I saw the movie; it was on a VHS copy - WHICH HAD THE SONG ON IT.)

I felt ripped off because that song was a fave of mine - particularly so as it's VERY obscure and the ONLY place I have heard it is in the closing credits of Ski School Part 2. Which makes me wonder - How many OTHER movies have had their songs / scenes / other sundry bits snipped off or censored prior to their release on DVD? Makes you wonder...

P.S. Does anyone out there have a copy of this song on mp3 format? This band is so obscure nobody has even heard of them - I'd be grateful if someone can help me out here. Thanks!

I would say you're going senile in your 30's...

I know for a fact everytime I watched it at the end a song called "All I've been Dreaming of..." was playing and it was a male/female duet..

Well if I'm going senile I'm not the only one ... I had watched the movie on an old VHS copy the first time in a Middle East country - some of the nudity was censored - and the video copy was marked for certain countries in The Middle East and Asia only - a friend of mine had made a 2nd generation copy and while he had trashed the cassette a couple of years back he DID confirm to me that the song was indeed on the film at the end - it played on during the end credits - now be mindful that this was in the mid 90s and it is very common for re-released and updated, newer versions of TV shows/films to have certain scenes, logos or songs edited out due to legal or other issues (mostly in regard to not having the rights to release the film or due to disputes over songwriting royalties being too expensive) so I'm assuming that the song was edited out due to such reasons - can anyone fill me in?
