Must Be Remade!

This can be translated into a great American film. Also, with today's great technology, the hotel scenes can be shot to look more extravagant with beautiful lighting.

I don`t think so. This movie could have been better, but it don`t need to be remade by those americans.

fine, I did. But A chinese director, perhaps even Stephen Chow, can amp this up to the fullest.

I'm surprised Joel Silver hasn't tried it.

But yeah, I could see some heavy CGI work in this one, not to mention a boatload of wire work.

I think Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa would be pretty good as the Doctor.

Just don't let Paul "W. S." Anderson or Uwe Boll near it.

BTW, I've been tinkering around with my own Americanized version myself. It's in the screenplay stage. I decided to have the first part set in Chicago and the second part in Hollywood, and I've changed the target of the diss to Steven Seagal. Obviously there's no way in hell I could shoot it, even if I went ultra-cheap and shot on 16mm, but still, it helps keep my writing chops up.

oh, that Paul Anderson A-hole, he defames PTA's name. Just a quick question, where did you learn screenwriting from?

reply

There's not a whole lot to learning screenwriting. About the hardest thing you have to know about is the actual format for a screenplay. The rest is like any other kind of writing. If you're going to get into it, your nearest bookstore should have some titles on them, but you want to look for anything written by Syd Field.

It also helps to be a total movie junkie--like me :)
