This film fails Jet Li

Jet Li = A child prodigy of Wushu in his homeland and a big star waaaay before he was raped by Hollywood is wasted in this film.

No offence but I buy a Jet Li film as I want to see him showcase some of the many skills he has honed over 30+ years of training for 8 hours a day. This film is a complete waste of his martial art skill as he is not given any oppertunity to get into an ACTUAL fight.

I am of course talking about a PROPER fight, one that does not subscribe to the Hollywood formula of 3 cuts per punch/kick and a total fight time of 12 seconds. I am naturally referring to a fight that involves several props, blood, makeshift weapons, anger, fear, hate, discipline, skill and honour. All of the things that although not always present, contribute to electric rumbles.

Saying all that, the cynic in me says this is due to my 'westernized' dvd cut. Idiot studios.
