This guy pisses me off, he is such a stuck up a**.

I have no sympathy for him, he is such a loser and bastard. Romantic my ass ... I feel so sorry for his poor, abused wife.

The episode tries its best to make him at least somewhat likeable, in the book he's an out-and-out scumbag.

Basically, past the big night attack on the fort, the episode and book differ wildly.
