Wow, I didn't realize Emma Thompson married the actor who played John Wiloughby in reali life.
Did anybody else miss this?
A lot of actors get into romantic relationships with people they meet while working on films, plays, and television shows. It’s really not at all unusual. For example, on the set of Pride and Prejudice, also a popular Jane Austen adaptation released in 1995, Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle had a brief fling.
And considering that Emma Thompson also met her former husband, Kenneth Branagh, on the set of the 1987 TV series Fortunes of War (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fortunes_of_War_%28TV_series%29), and had a relationship with Hugh Laurie when she was in college and a fling with him in the early 1990s, I think it’s fair to say that this is pretty much normal for her.
