I think she just went to the closest hotel she could find. As for the clothes, maybe that place seemed familiar to her, even if only subconsciously.
Have you ever driven to work and realized that you don't remember the drive? Like you went on autopilot because it's a trip you've taken so, so many times? I think some of that happened to Jane.
As for the spending spree, Jane was a very wealthy woman. To her, those expenses might not have been extravagant. She also might not have had a concept of money since she had amnesia. Maybe she couldn't remember what the typical cost for things was. She seemed sure that she would remember her life at any moment. She didn't think that she would have to live in the hotel for very long. She only paid for one night and just mentioned the possibility of a second night. I doubt she thought that the money in her pockets would have to last her forever.
