The measuring tape

When the tailor measures off the measuring tape in front of the screen, what does that mean? I, for instance, think that it is giving us a hint as to the length of John Turturro's ****!!!!OMG Katherine, you have a man on your hands. HA HA

Surely. You are not alone on that thought. I don't believe that I have ever crossed that fine line. I am simply stating that this scene seemed a little awkward. Can you tell me what the meaning of the measuring tape across the screen was? I didn't ask for a lecture, or to be told about this line. I just wanted to know the reasoning behind the measuring tape. Thanks for the input, though. Always a delight to get a response good or bad. Good day.

He is my favorite actor. Don't we all have favorites? I suppose you may have a point. You know that I have heard these comments from people before. I avidly purchase or rent films that he has starred in. I am not obsessed. I finally found one actor that I find terribly interesting. That doesn't give cause for alarm. I have done nothing wrong. I am sure that there are freaked out fans that take it to the limit and can't draw a line. I have a pure admiration for this man. I also realize that he is married w/ two little boys. I realize that my posting seven pages of posts may seem to you to be a little worried about my stability. Don't worry. There are those who can be in awe w/out crossing any thresholds. I am simply not going to continue to defend myself here. This is a battle over whether I am obsessed. I am not upset that you would see it that way. I am just stating that I am not obsessed. I am simply convinced that he is the best at what he does. I will continue to post my feelings from now on. Please don't read them if they offend you. That is my advice of the day.
Good day to you.

I apologize for being so open. I write these posts and don't consider others, I suppose. These are just my thoughts keyed on a computer. I realize the "stalker" image isn't a good one. I didn't ever set out to be pegged as such. I should be more discreet. That is my biggest spoof, I guess. I just say what is on my mind and don't consider the consiquences. I see that you are a genuine person, though. I never meant to undermind you. I am thankful that you apologized. There was really no need in you doing so, though. I see my wrongs. I will be less open in the future. I am not a stalker. I am just an admiring fan of John Turturro. There is no agenda. There is no foul play intended. I just truly enjoy his abilities. That is really all there is to it. Good day.

I think it's more like "what is the measure of a man", it's one of the themes of this movie, how do you measure success? Money, power, material wealth, deeds?

Yeah thats definently a plausible undertone. But this is somewhat of an comedy oddity,no ?.
So why cant the measuring tape be in refferance to the physical prowess of his "manhood" ...so to speak.Afterall its been known to happen in film for many years.
Theres nothing wrong with asking about or making refferance to that scene.
In fact I wondered that myself when i read the first post.
Its quite shallow to question ones character based on a question such
as that ... fan or no fan.And to continue to call them out over a series of unrelated Search and Destroy posts is worthless.
Obviously why the poster has removed his/her comments as him/her comes across badly for doing so.
The dialog of this movie is brilliant. The whit is very savvy and even intellectual.

So, am I so wrong for wondering about this???? I am curious still over what I have done so wrong... I guess being overtly perverse is sometimes a trait that people can't wrap their minds around. So, I have a perverse mind that tends to wander.....and....... LOL This is not the end of the wondering, I guarantee it.

It's a slender curtain between theatre and life. Let's lift that curtain, shall we?
