If only Mills and Somerset had been patient enough to stake out John Doe's apartment building first (instead of going right up to his door), they might've gotten their man and saved several lives.

Food in Films: Mr. Stinky grabs that slice with gusto. Guess he didn't care that the pizza joint must've had about fifty health violations during the last inspection.

True but I don't think either one of them really believed they were going to find the killer with that shot in the dark method. Mills certainly didn't. I got the impression Somerset did it so they could have something to do, get out of the office. I think it surprised him almost as much.

Fair point. Did we ever see how many names were on the list the FBI guy (AKA Mr. Stinky) gave them?
