Se7en is by far David Fincher's best movie

Definitely stands the test of time. It hasn't aged a bit. Such a great and unforgettable movie. Forget about Fight Club and the others, Se7en is David Fincher's masterpiece.

Hard to argue with that!

Wouldn't disagree with anyone who has Se7en as their favorite Fincher film. It's definitely in the top 3 for me, I still think Fight Club is the best thing he's done to date. Zodiac is another straight out masterpiece as well.

reply

Indeed. By far his best.

I think Seven, Fight Club and Zodiac are 3 of the best movies ever made so I could never argue with anyone choosing one over the other as their favorite ๐Ÿ˜€

reply

Yes Seven was indeed superb, none can argue with that but what about Zodiak? Another amazing film by this very talented director.

reply

Seven might be the better film but I prefer Zodiac, itโ€™s a tonal thing. Seven is unrelentingly bleak, disgusting and depressing whereas Zodiac is an easier ride with more humour and likeable characters, but still disturbing. In fact, the idyllic lakeside setting of the second murder might be the most disturbing moment of the two films.

While I have not ranked my favorite Fincher movies, my top five would for sure have Seven, Fight Club, and Social Network.
