Well, Gary Oldman had to be drunk

Gary Oldman said he was drunk throughout the making of this movie, I believe him. Because you'd have to be drunk to think this was a good idea or keep a straight face while filming scenes.

yes, he said that he was so drunk that he sometimes wore an earpiece (hidden by the wig he wore) and would have his lines fed to him b/c he couldn't remember them.

How ironic that Gary Oldman is 10 times a better actor drunk than Demi Moore is stone cold sober....

Gary is 10x the actor when he's wasted than most of Hollywood. He must have been bombed out of his mind when he read the script for this movie and decided to sign on. Meh at least he got paid and his fans got two hours of Gary looking unbelievably gorgeous.

The confession scene at the end was especially obvious. He could barely get the wretched words out.
