Bought this VHS movie back in 1996

I bought this movie on VHS tape through a now-defunct, independant horror movie magazine. The magazine was a quality monthly or bimonthly that reviewed independant and mostly low-budget horror films. It was ahead of its time. I knew that the THE SANDMAN was an independant, low-budget horror film produced by ambitious, wannabee horror movie, amateur director and producer and actors. But I don't write this in a derogatory manner. I give everyone credit for trying and even producing a horror film that made its way onto a sales catalogue in a nationwide, horror film magazine.

True the movie looked cheapish, amateur, slow moving, and ultimately boring that I didn't watch it all. Yet I am reluctant to dismiss the product of a group of obviously dedicated and passionate people committed to film-making. I couldn't do better myself on a first try.

Yes, I agree with others. The concept in this movie could have been fantastic in the hands of a Hollywood studio.

It usually doesn't bode well when IMDb doesn't even have photos of the cast members. <G>
