Killer Couches and Moms Making Our Milk Safe

I thought it would be of interest to share: I had just heard of this film today (recommended to me after discussing Julianne Moore in "Game Change" which premiered tonight on HBO). By coincidence, I had just heard a few days prior that a couch can be one of the most toxic things you can bring into your home.

I did an internet search and found a site called KILLER COUCH, which strangely enough was created by an organization called MOMS (Making Our Milk Safe). Apparently they are referring to enviromental toxins contaminating their own breast milk. In 2007, more than ten years after this film, they supported a ban in California to stop the use of "BFRs and CFRs" in couches.

I thought that was really interesting that the character in this film was said to have a reaction to MILK and it was mentioned that symptoms often begin after bringing something new into the home, the COUCH.

You've just got to click over to see this animated "killer couch" alarmist video! It's almost like a stealth ad for this movie. You might see it on tv in your hospital room, just before the infomercial for Wrenwood comes on, and you wake your husband up to tell him you want to go live there!
