Saw The Criterion version today.

Saw it without all the bonus features unfortunately. But looked exactly the way I pictured it. It looks the way the film print should of looked. In 2001 the first transfer to DVD. Technology to transfer films to DVD was as bad as VHS.
It's a million times better now.

There's three parts to the film that one can look at

She does have a illness to chemicals.
Or she got sick of herself and every aspect of her life. In every scene there's something subconscious that she's just fed up with. With everyone and everything.
Then she goes to the commune and that just ends up killing her because she becomes more sick and fed up and just lost and gone.

It's hard to tell which is which. With her she's so passive about it she doesn't flair about and go life is a piece of sht. She just weakens cries and dies.

Why I mention this is I identify with her character.

I have always been aware of this movie, but have never seen it. I saw this movie for the first time this weekend. and the Criterion Collection edition is the version I saw. Beautifully shot film. The imagery is like a character itself in this film....glad to see CC did such a masterful job with this. A wonderful and mysterious film.

 The bad news is you have houseguests. There is no good news. 
