Can't believe it

I was watching this movie, and enjoying it because it's unusual and interesting.
A slow paced intellectual kind of movie.
Then, about half way through, Julianne Moore goes on a balls-out rampage through the streets of L.A.!
They even did a mini-montage of her prepping for the rampage... ie. short shots of her gearing up, putting on leather and kevlar... loading her AK-47... sheathing her bowie knife... filling up molotov cocktails.
Its was nuts, she even put on face paint.
