Fox Lormer version has pop-up every 10 minutes

saying something like, "This move is for screening only". It's outrageous that they do that. I hope they've stopped.

I am watching it now, also the Fox Lorber version, and there has been nothing like that. My only complaint about this haunting and horrifying movie has been with the subtitles. Sometimes there are comments and titles that aren't translated into English. I can get the sense of what's going on in any case. It was merely annoying.

It's certainly worthwhile to put up with a few misspelled words or absent translations to have the chance to see a movie which would only have been shown in major cities. With a movie in Russian, Chinese and German, I would be lost without the modern conveniences of DVDs with subtitles. I am grateful for seeing this masterpiece which would have slipped away from me unnoticed. The photography is wonderful!

This is what "Hannibal Rising" could have been. But Hollywood and big business make many different works all seem the same.

Find the Fox Lorber website and send them your complaint in an email. The movies they import are terrific and I'm sure they want to please their viewers. I can't remember ever seeing a pop up in a movie.

there might be a reason for saying it is for screening only...and not for sale???

the Germans in the movie spoke lousy German, they were definitely not German actors. I found that to be quite a turn off. By the way, how can the Nazi flag have a black background??? Some parts of the movie just doesn't seem authentic enough to me. Some reviewers said that the movie distorted the real facts, so where can I possibly find information about the "true" story this was based on because I find the story itself to be very interesting.
