A great film

I personally love this movie, Harry Adam Knight thank you for creating novels for Proteus and Carnosaur. I love both those films, totally cult classics. Did anybody else like the movie?

reply

No.

reply

Not really. Carnosaur and even its sequels were better than this. I thought this was terrible.

This squirrel on my shoulder just told me to *beep* off!

reply

I enjoy the Carnosaur series(Grew up with 2, 3 is so bad-its-good, and 1 really isn't good at all) Yeah I re-watched Proteus and I still really like it but by no means is it a great film, I understand why people don't care for the film but I am certainly one of the few fans.

reply

I'm watching it right now and am really enjoying it

Awesome, Like I said to another person not a great film by any means but A very enjoyable low budget horror film

I watched this last night too. It reminded me of Plankton from 1994, anybody seen that? Shipwreck, rescue by abandoned ship that was being used for genetic experiments. I mean I saw it a while ago, I don't remember perfectly, but it seemed like pretty much the same deal.

God help me, but I liked it! I'll give it a 5,because of my presently good mood.

Kjeks.

Hey, there is nothing wrong with liking a mid-90s B horror creature feature with practical monster effects instead of crappy CGI. I do like Proteus but it is nowhere near a great film and with someone who grew up with 70s, 80s, and 90s B horror films, it holds a soft spot in my heart as I grew up with it.

Not really a big fan, but then I watched it just now, 20 years after it came out... Seemed like they tried to do a spin on "The Thing", but tbh, that movie did it better.

reply

Yeah, it's a film I grew up with, I loved B movies then and still do now. I think most people who like Proteus seen it when they were younger so it holds that nostalgia feeling, you know? The Dark Side of the Moon, The Brain, and The Mutilator are some other B films I grew up with as well as the Carnosaur Series.
