Could Gilbert Gottfried get away with it today?

There's a scene in the film where he has a very funny line. And it could very well be the funniest joke he ever told in the whole Problem Child trilogy. This is what he said to Ben Healy:

"No one likes rotten teeth. Unless, of course, the British. I hate the British! They have teeth like Wolverines!"

Given what happened to him three years ago (he told Japan jokes during the tsunami, and some people were so angry at him, they actually claimed he hates the Japanese), could he get away with it today?

I am an American living in America, a fan of British culture, and the British joke he told in Problem Child 3 was so funny, I died laughing.
