I can live without the extended ending, but the song if I never knew you , to me anyway is pivotal to the story. Seeing the movie opening day I felt that something was out of place and missing and once I saw it I knew immediately that this song would have brought the film to Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast Little Mermaid Status. sander1982 can you please send me a link to the blu ray you purchased... I would love to look at the bonus feature aspects of the film and whatnot... thank you so much for your help.

Agreed. They were waaaaaay too "trigger happy" with trying to fix this movie which resulted in such a poorly decided omission of a great song! That was a term Roy Disney used himself in the 10th Anniversary DVD bonus feature about the song, lol. Very apt.

I wish I could find a review of the new blu ray ... I thought it came out april 12th but it came out in march and so far there are no reviews of it.
If anyone out there has it could you please give a review of the film.

sadly I found out that this edition of POcahontas does not have the 2005 10th anniversary edition of the film attached to it. if I never knew you is only a bonus feature like the 2 movie collection.... I will be passing on this blu ray edition and going straight for the digital copy. there is nothing new on this blu ray that hasn't been released on the former edition.
I still think the best edition to have is the Pocahontas 10th Anniversary Edition which is on DVD.
It gives you the option to view the film in its original theatrical version or the option to view the extended version with the deleted song beautifully integrated back into the film, If I Never Knew You.... along with the reprise to the song being put back into the ending of the film.
If I had to write a review for this release based upon what I know I would say ;
if you have the 2 movie collection of Pocahontas or the 2005 10th anniversary DVD pass up this release and just purchase the digital copy from Vudu or ITunes ... if you have no need for a digital copy than keep your prior releases and save some money.
