Muuuch better than The Fast and the Furious and 2 Fast 2 Furious

Why? The fighting is much better. The Acting is (well... not that difficult). And most of all the race scenes are muuuuuch better. No CGI nonsense, just 2 cars, racing against each other, without endless boosts of nitro. The car choice is pretty good too, mainly Skyline vs. GTO. And you get to see a lot of the Skyline. Of several Skylines, a street racing (crashed) R32, a race spec GT-R R32, a lot more race spec GT-R R32 and some R33. Other cars are a few GTO, EVO 4 or 5 (not sure), Civics, RX7, a few 3 series BMW, a few big fat racing Chrysler (Status or so?), some older japanese race cars, etc. Lots of car crashes (both main GT-R are destroyed) etc.

One thing I hated tho was that they had to speed some scenes up... looked unrealistic (the rest was mostly quite realistic, not comparable to the CGI crap) and was rather boring.

I liked this underrated movie.

I cannot believe you even tried to put this movie in the same category as FNF and 2F2F. Those were terrible terrible excuses for cinematic trash. Pi li hou is a great movie, however I see no reason to point out the obvious.

I reckon this movie knocks the socks of F&F and its sequal. The racing is great (AND REAL) plus the crashes look cool good effort.

To me, the speeding up totally took away from the scenes they were done to.

So did I. However, it sure beats watching 2 Fast 2 Furious. Jackie Chan is a better actor than Paul Walker.

The speeding up of the scenes kind of took away the believibility of the driving scenes. On the bright side, I thought it was funny to watch as well as entertaining.
I just caught the last 15 minutes of this movie on TNT. I liked it. Did not know that Jackie Chan could sing.

Quit comparing it 2f2f its like comparing apples and oranges... If you want to compare it... Compare it to Initial D the live action movie, two chinese directed "Racing" Movies...

... It would have been better if Jackie Chan Played the Bunta Character in Initial D the movie... He could have directed it himself... I would like to see him act in a non-kung-fu movie... Would be interesting to see his acting range. And the Bunta Character is quite a deprarture seeing him act different is worth the price of admission!

I liked Initial D, but replace the two Infernal Affair directors by Jackie Chan? No, never. I really doubt that he is as talented as they are. As actor, maybe. But I thought Initial D was ok as it was.

So just because this film has cars and so do the 'Furious' films, you choose to compare them? Get a grip!

I'm currently watching this film now (not seen it in a very long time) and I have to say its a joke. The whole film is a mess and this is what you get when you rush a movie through production. They should've waited for Jackie to fully recover and take time doing the race scenes too.

It has to be one of Jackie's worst, even if he still has his usual charm. But again, this film is nothing like those films you compare it to!

It's really sad that there's so much biasness on these boards.

This movie is better than 2F2F? I'm not gonna even go there, nor am I saying that 2F2F is a better movie.

This one was so over-the-top that it was really unwatchable.

That's saying a lot because I'm a huge car guy and thought the story made zero sense whatsoever.
