The character designs are similar to the ones in 'Secret of NIMH'

Despite being completely different species(penguins vs rats/mice), I think some of the characters look like recycled version of SON.

Off the top of my head
Drake-Jenner
Marina- Mrs Brisby
Rocko- Mr Ages(maybe...)

Did anyone else notice these similarities? Yes, I know its the same director. But I've never noticed any similar character designs in a Don Bluth movie before.

I don't think Marina and Mrs. Brisby are quite that much alike, but when you mention the other two, yeah, I kindof agree. They're quite a lot alike...

I agree with the OP that Drake looked like Jenner, and sounded like him too.

I dunno, I'm kind of surprised to see someone say that. I always thought most of Don Bluth's films had noticeably similar character designs and very similar, distinct styles of animation.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure all of his films shared a production company (Sullivan Bluth Studios) and usually at least a pair of them shared animation companies (i.e. Troll in Central Park, Thumbelina, and Pebble and the Penguin went through Warner Bros., while American Tail and Land Before Time both went through Universal Pictures, for example).
