My theory on the ending

This is might seem kind of silly to some of you, when I say I have a theory on a kids movie that isn't very popular, but it was something that's been on my mind since the last time I watched this.

Anyway, the way that "Pebble and the Penguin" ended had raised a few questions: 1.) How did Rocko's bandana suddenly change from purple to green? And 2.) What was the consistency of Rocko flying, without flapping his wings?

My best guess is this: While Rocko swam on the way to Antartica (avoiding orcas), the ocean bleached the color of his bandana, because that's where he hid the pebble anyway. As for Rocko's "flying", well, I kind of assumed it was the pebble's magic that caused him to float (much like one of those Laputa crystals). We knew from the start it was a magic pebble, so why not?

This probably wasn't what the writers had in mind, but I like to think of it that way because it makes the ending look a little less silly, IMO.

I've always thought it was the pebble that did the same thing too. That's probably what they want us to think without explaining it to us.

CosmosX9, birds need to flap their wings in order to ascend, but can remain in the air simply by changing their angles. You have a creative idea about the bandana, but bleached purple is not green. Time passes between the moment that Hubie and Marina become engaged and the final scene since the two have children at the end. Maybe Rocko gets or makes a new headpiece in that period.
