this film, in my opinion is one of the best ever. It's amazingly shot, acted, scripted and composed, the story is powerful, moving, intense mezmerizing and unique and at least for me can be related to quite closely. Philip ridley is an amazing filmmaker and I hope he gets the chance to make more movies.

Oh yes, quite agree. I have never seen anything like it. Heartbreakingly beautiful, the Darkly Noon character so lost, so vulnerable. This was completely orginal. Images such as I have never even imagined... The shots, the color, the characters, incredible... What a shame, as it seems that Philip Ridley stopped making films after this.
