Anyone have any suggestions for similar movies? the imdb recommendations don't seem to be all that similar to the subject of this movie. So I wondered if anyone had any others to offer up.
If you think this was a bad movie that's great but I don't care I just want to hear about similar movies, thanks.

I would suggest "La rose de fer" Jean Rollin 1973 and "The cement garden" Andrew Birkin 1993 (not as much action though).

If you like this movie you would most likely enjoy the tv series "Twin Peaks".
And also the film "Gods and Monsters", which stars Ian McKellen and just like in "Darkly Noon" - Brendan Fraser. I "Gods and Monsters" Fraser also plays a serios role. And Ian McKellen plays the director of the Frankenstein films, I think.
I would also check out the older film "The Swimmer", starring Burt Lancaster.
I find it pretty hard to compare any movie to "passion of darkly noon". But if you're interested in surreal horror-fairytales you should check out "The company of wolves" and "night of the hunter" if you don't know them already.
