Honestly, for such a star studded cast this movie was absolutely terrible and had more ham than my butchers shop. I know we have to suspend disbelief when watching films sometimes, but come on. Doctors that throw up when they see a dead body, but can isolate a virus AND make an antidote from a 'host' in an hour ...oh, AND fly a helicopter, AND fly VFR into the bargain? Miscast tiny Dustin Hoffman trying to look like a hero, with that stupid nasal twang,('Billy, Billy') and that little rapid shuffle he does instead of walking - and all Donald Sutherland needed was a white cat to stroke.

Bah. Only got it after watching Contagion. Waste of my internet download time.

I don't understand people that look for any reality in movies...
why even watch movies??
I enjoy this movie every watch. The decent acting, the interesting premis, the touching scenes, and especially the helicopter chases which I'm pretty sure are totally REAL helicopters MOST of the time, not CG cartoons like everything is now days.
Of course it is not real.... it is entertainment.

The antidote thing in the movie was stupid beyond words. When a person bleeds through their eyes its not only a symptom it means your entire body has extremely decayed. How entertaining!

What? A MOVIE was unrealistic and a crock? Thank god you alerted us to this news. I didn't want to watch this to be entertained, I wanted something actual, factual and totally realistic. So glad I read this before wasting my time watching the movie. :)

Jez I thought this was a made-for-tv movie...
The acting is so over the top.
Total mis-casting...

Contagion bored me compared to this. I bought this on DVD and Blu-Ray.... haven't even watched Contagion twice yet.

I thought it was a bit much when Patrick Dempsey looking like one of the walking dead on the plane got no notice from the flight crew! If I had been the woman with the little boy, who was going to eat the cookie Dempsey didn't finish , I would have told a flight attendant about him. Stat!

I just finished watching this twice after I first posted. Apparently this is slated to air on the Encore channels repeatedly along with 'Grease 2'. I think the OP was too kind in calling it a crock of sh!t!

'The Andromeda Strain' (1971) is still the film to watch that's about the government hiding the fact that it's trying to produce a biological weapon.

"Sheldon:Was the starfish wearing boxer shorts? Because you might have been watching Nickelodeon."
