Death Scene Pales in Comparison to that in Stage Beauty

I watched both. I was bored to tears by Lawrence Fishburn's and Irene Jacob's performances. Then I watched the same scene in Stage Beauty with Billy Crudup and Claire Danes and I was in tears again, but not out of boredom. Crudup and Danes are astonishing! It is Othello as even Shakespeare never envisioned it. It saddens me that I can never watch any other performance that will come close. I have Crudup murder Danes again and again, probably fifteen times at various moments, and each time I am awed. No knocking Lawrence Fishburn and Irene Jacobs. They were okay. But I think I'd rather take the blue pill, Morpheus, and happily forget your version.
