Ludovico
I thought that the casting and portrayal of Ludovico was absolutley horrendous. In all of the Shakespeare tragedies, someone always shows up at the end and clears things up. For example, in Hamlet, Fortinbras comes in and takes over as king after Hamlet, his mother, and the king are killed. Ludovico is usually portrayed as very powerful and is physically imposing. However, in this adaptation of Othello, he is extremely whimpy, and could even be considered gay with all the shiny garb he's wearing. Does anyone else agree?
