Siskel and Ebert review 'Othello'

Those two pricks don't get it! Branagh totally owned this film and gave a masterful performance! Ebert betrayed the fact he can't recognize an intelligent performance making a well-researched hypothesis on a character's motivations. The man needs to read more Shakespeare

Ebert knows Shakespeare. He has a volume of it. Read his review of Merchant of Venice, which he loved. And Gene liked this film, why call him names? In fact, don't even do that.

"The man needs to read more Shakespeare"

The only people who have any business reading Shakespeare are historians. Everyone else should experience his work as it was intended: as live performance.

"People always sing 'Part of Your World' at auditions... that's why I only know one lyric."

It works just fine on the page.
