Hannibal Brooks remake (and more)

This is a total remake of Hannibal Brooks starring Oliver Reed and and the world`s largest supporting actor to that point (don`t quote Free Willy or Jaws, they came after). I`d be annoyed if I was involved in the original film because I can`t find a single mention that it`s a rip-off of Hannibal Brooks. What`s more surprising is that the year after this movie Bill Murray did the same thing in Larger Than Life. Now I know that transporting elephants looms large in every screenwriter`s oeuvre but coincidence it ain`t.

You've GOT to be kidding me...

"A prisoner of war working at a zoo gets the chance to escape from the Germans, so he does and he takes with him the elephant that he's been caring for. Together they head for the Swiss border and freedom."

Okay, I'm not even going to EXPLAIN the differences in movies simply because, well, I don't have that kind of time. The only thing that seems to be the same? War and Elephants. Yeah.

This is letting aside the fact that True Events inspired Operation Dumbo Drop...
