Availability?

Is this available on DVD anywhere (excluding the bootleg Archives of Studio Ghibli box set)?

Like, maybe as an extra feature on one of the Ghibli films?
(I'm thinking maybe Whisper Of The Heart or Pom Poko?)

Cheers.

Well, Disney does have the license for all the Ghibli films. This still counts as a Ghibli film, despite only being about five minutes long. Obviously, it couldn't support a solo release... it just might turn up in the third wave of Disney's Ghibli films (Pom Poko, Whisper of the Heart, etc.) later in the year.

Any chance of this new wave of Gibhli films on DVD to hit UK shores soon?

In America, it's on the DVD for Whisper of the Heart. You can see it legally and for free on YouTube.com.

Which Whisper of the Heart version is it? I checked out the 2 disc special edition with the red band on top and everything and all the special features were were behind the microphone, storyboards, and something else, but not the On Your Mark video. I'm tired of waiting for an hour for my slow computer to load the 7 minute video, and i was relieved to hear it was on the movie, but was nowhere there.

I wrote that a while ago, before I'd actually seen the DVD. I guess it's only on the Japanese one, since they showed them together in theaters. I'm sorry for the trouble. But now you can see it on YouTube, Veoh, or that website. I recommend Veoh.

Best thing ever.

I just saw it for the first time on youtube, it is pretty cool, just a shame it isn't on any of the DVDs in the UK.

I'm only going to say this once: stay out of Camberwick Green - Sam Tyler

I got this short film in a rather unorthodox manner. About a decade ago, I tried to buy the South Korean film "JSA: Joint Security Area". I ended up getting a bootleg disc from, I think, Hong Kong. JSA wasn't even on the disc, though the DVD case had the JSA picture on it. What was actually on the disc was the Studio Ghibli movie Ocean Waves/Umi Ga Kikoeru, together with On Your Mark. The event was weird, and at first I was annoyed that I didn't get the movie I wanted, but looking back i'm glad I got that disc. Umi Ga Kikoeru is a nice movie and On Your Mark is a pleasant little short film. I don't think I can even get Umi Ga Kikoeru on a North America-compatible (non-bootleg) DVD, so i'd probably never have seen it if it weren't for that weird mix-up.

I was surprised to come here and see how many threads this little short film has; I was wondering how people are seeing it.
