I cried!

I can't believe it, but at the start and end of the film, I cried.

*SPOLIERS*

I first started sniffling when the police were killing all the religious people, and then at the end when they let her fly away.

I just can't believe that it broke me down in under 7 minutes of footage!

Oh, boy. You need to see Grave of the Fireflies (another Ghibli film, called "Hotaru no Haka" on IMDb.) You'll explode with sadness.

Oh man. I had to see Grace of the Fireflies in first grade in Japanese School. I cried, and cried, and cried.
Even the teachers cried.

On Your Mark is a moving film, isn't it? What gets me is their relentless devotion to this girl... like they absolutely have to accomplish setting her free, no matter what, because she's so special. I love their resolve!

I just watched Grave of the Fireflies last night. It was really heartbreaking. What touches me the most is little Setsukuo repeating "Seita...".
