I just don't know why. Was there an emotional past with one of them or both, or did they realize that it was just the right thing? Either way, the best music video ever made.

To be honest if I saw an angel (or pretty much as close to one as you can get) chained up or locked in a government facility I would feel pretty inspired to do the right thing and free her.
