Who finished this film?

Supposedly, Kurt Wimmer was kicked off this project fairly early, but I haven't been able to find out who the replacement director was.

There's a pretty competent action guy named Kurt Andersen whose action style is similar - that's my theory.

Anyone know for sure?

I thought you were asking who watched the movie to the end. I didn't.

Life is never fair, and perhaps it is a good thing for most of us that it is not.

Indeed yes, it was KURT ANDERSON who finished the film ...

(However, there is always more to the story and perhaps one day, one or both Kurt's mentioned here will explain it.)

Kurt Anderson was also the co-producer of 'THE BANKER' (Westwind Productions - 1990) ... I know this because I was the co-story/ sole screenplay / associate producer of this WILLIAM WEBB film. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0096889/combined)

As for KURT WIMMER, he is a solid writer ('THE THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR', 'SPHERE' and the upcoming FRANK DARABONT thriller 'LAW ABIDING CITIZEN') & truly wondrous director ('EQUALIBRIUM' and 'ULTRAVIOLET') ...

I like the work of both Kurts, and wish they would get to direct more movies.
Wasn't too crazy about the "excessive eye candy" part of Ultraviolet - I liked the grit of Equilibrium.
Another really good one is Avi Nesher - I still feel that Timebomb showed a promising action style similar to James Cameron's.
