40 years since Nixon resigned

Forgetting watergate, cause that whole thing was just silly, Nixon did do a lot of bad things. He *beep* up Health Care, bombing Cambodia, war on drugs, so on. But despite what the Democrats say he did do good things to. opening up China. Really improving relations with Russia plus he did a lot of stuff for the environment. He was one of the few presidents from that era that pushed environmentalism stuff. So while some Presidents did not become has hated as him. It's because they didn't get much accomplished good or bad ( I'm looking at u Calvin Coolidge) So while Nixon is not the monster some try to make him out to be. Neither was he a misunderstood saint He had good side and a bad side like we all do. But he was an interesting president during an interesting times . Certainly more interesting than Carter or Ford or ...um Benjamin Harrison. perhaps had he been president during a different era he would have done better. I feel the same way about LBJ. These were not dumb guys. They were born Politicians. But the 60 and 70 were horrible times in the US. Think of Ol Dick as the Aaron Burr of the 1900s. except Nixon never personally killed anyone.....we'll probably not.
