Didn't Buffy the Vampire Slayer come out after this?..seems a bit similar to me. Maybe it influenced the Buffy series, maybe not.
Watched it in England early one morning when I couldn't sleep, not the worse film I've ever seen. Maybe one of those b movie classics in years to come :)
