His name 'Gene Watson'

One thing that always irritated me about this movie was Johnny Depp's character name. It sounded so made-up and bland. I know that sounds anal of me, but seriously, think about it.

Heh heh, could have been even worse; "John Smith" ;-)

There is nothing inside - and they rebuild it every 20th year.

Could have been Donald duck. I saw one in my phone book. Seriously aren't most names kinda bland?

Nicholas Oswald Time would have been a much better name, agreed.

Late to this conversation but:
I'm watching this for the first time in many years and I could have sworn His (Johnny Depp) name was Nick! I thought I could even remember hearing that in the trailer.
