I really like this movie but I have a couple of questions

1. Why did the guy approach Jason in jail in reference to Midget? I think he said something to allude to Midget having beef with someone that was planning to murder him but then nothing came of it? It just seemed like a random scene, with no purpose. What was that about? IS it something that I missed?

2. Why did Midget suddenly start acting shady towards Jason. He seemed like a good friend at first but then after he was beaten by those cops behind the building, he started acting shady towards Jason. Why?
