Most of New Jersey drive was filmed in Greenpoint Brooklyn NY

Yeah, it's well know (To fans of the film anyways) that the Mayor of Newark was NOT having it when it came to shining a light on how it really was in NJ around that time. It's a part of history, good or bad. The substance and emotion of what we see is so much deeper than so much in the genre, I guess it was just too "Real" for alot of people.

The mayor of Newark banned the movie from being shot on its premises. But Nick should have made it less obvious (which is hard, admittedly) that it was shot in Brooklyn. Some of the movie I think was shot in New Jersey though.
