Senior Trip is the greatest teen movie ever made. I laughed, i cried and then i laughed some more. The film is perfect, for it's genre, in every conceivable way. I must see for any human being. *****+ (5 stars+).
Very mid 1990's... that is lots and lots and lots of teen drug and alcohol abuse, but little sex and no nudity.
Contrast that with the early 1980's or late 1990's which had sex and nudity, but not so much in the way of drinking and drugs.
The drug/alcohol abuse in this film is really too much. We're not talking the cliched "let's have a party while the folks are out. Those scenes show the aspects of being hungover and stupid. Here, the substance abuse is not shown with any consequence at all, other than Tommy Chung.
I remember when I was a freshman in high school 9 years ago, this guy in my keyboard class was raving about this movie. I finally rented it and thought it was decent, but didn't see what the big deal was. I'd seen similar movies done way better from the '80s. I'd agree with a IMDB comment left on here, saying this movie is really for people who've never seen the classics.
It's all about the characters in this movie and the talent that played them. Mioski and Virus were classic and Reggie was hilarious. Oh and that dude from Kids in the Hall, "stop, stop." That was pretty original with that dude chasing the school bus and Reggie being the only one who ever saw him. His expressions are perfect. You can see him begin to doubt what he's seeing even himself. Great stuff. Oh and the Dope King Rules!!!!! Long live the Dope King!!!!!!!!!!
is there a scene in thia film were they are on a bus and pull in to a petrol(gas)station and two kids go out the back of the bus, rob some bear from the store and sneak back on the bus
also does the driver smoke so much bud that he dies and crashes the bus into a lake?
I've seen Breakfast Club... once. It's good, a nice looking back into the 80s... but nothing to identify with for myself. And I've seen Senior Trip... about 15 times. And it rocks!!! It just could be me and my highschool mates (if just the teachers were so stupid...).
I think if you went to school in the mid 90s, then have to identify with senior trip, and hey: it was all about drinking und drug use...
I've seen all the "classic" teen movies over and over and I love them, it's definitely my favorite genre - Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles, Ferris Bueller, Weird Science, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Heathers, basically all the brat pack films, everything John Hughes did in the mid 80s, the other National Lampoons, all the (crappy) ones made in the late 90s - and I gotta say, this movie is SO UNDERRATED. Even with all of those in mind, this is still one of 3 or 4 of my favorites in this genre.
This is a great movie! I loved it when I first saw it in the movie theaters and some of the people have mentioned some classic movies from the mid 80's when I was a teenager. Breakfast club is one of my favorite movies but it is not as hilarious as this movie though.
I can remember being in high school and going to parties and throwing my own parties as well. I did not do the pot thing or the drugs but I drank though. I remember coming home buzzing so bad that I would have to lean up against the wall or even the oven in the kitchen talking to my parents.
I do not even know how they did not notice that I was buzzing pretty bad. LOL Those were the good old days and then college. WOW! Those were some great times to remember! LOL
I actually really liked this one too. I will say that "Dead Man on Campus" and "Not Another Teen Movie" were better but this is still right up there. Awesome soundtrack, good cast, cool time capsule to the 90's, a decade that I truly loved.
Yes this is a great movie to watch and hilarious too! Yes they are very similar to this film here. Yes this film did have a great soundtrack and good cast. I loved the 80's though to be honest with you since I became a teenager right in the mid 80's. The 90's were good also prior to "Politically Correctness" stepping in and ruining a lot of things.
This film is a CLASSIC man. This film is one of the funniest films I have ever seen for real. 4.9 is way too low a rating. I really need to watch this again.
