Slater is electric

Christian Slater has never failed in conveying emotion to his audience brilliantly. Something even more intense happens when Gary Oldman and Slater are on screen together. They have such great on-screen chemistry. They were excellent in Contender, True Romance and of course again here.

Bacon was outstanding as well. This film was so well casted and so well done. Every scene was gold, but the one that always gives me chills is when James Stamphill (Slater) knows it's all or nothing and over the judge and the prosecution states how Henri isn't the only one going down. It's so intense and Slater knows exactly how to stand and what poise to use. EVerything from the tone of voice to the mannuerisms he uses is perfection.

The other scenes that standout as beyond brilliant:

Slater and Oldman of course. James going after Glenn on stand is amazing. There is so much tension and they create it so well together.

And obviously when Henri is on the stand and James says, "You were right and I was wrong.."

OH, Slater is such a fantastic actor! He has never delivered anything but an outstanding performance.

I agree, Slater was phenomenal in this. One of my favourite roles from him.
