Who else feels like crying when?

Who else feels like crying when Cole is in the kitchen and his parents can't figure out what he wants I especially feel like crying when Cole's mom says "I want to talk to my son" that was a powerful scene. I felt his mom was more supportive than his dad but I'm glad Cole and his dad got along better later on in the movie.

I respect how you felt.

For me personally it just stressed my out. People screaming at each other. I want my home to be a place of peace and respect that is my solace away from the world. I don't want to be in a situation where I go out into the world, to work to get away from the chaos and stress of my home.

I totally agree with Hanz.

That scene seemed too artificial to me. Human's communication abilities aren't related to sound only.

Creating hand hearing very different sounds is very important in hit, but I doubt somebody born deaf would have so much trouble to communicate. We find our way, as we do with sound. His mom for sure would and should find her way too, she'd only be totally unable to communicate with him if she was very bad.

Also, she shouldn't behave like that. Just take everything out and let him point what he wanted, then put back. No need to scream or be such a bad mother.
