Filming Locations

Hello, all! I loved this film as a kid and, over the years, I've gradually forgotten about the film. Recently, however, images of the film have been re-emerging in my head, which has given way to a new found interest.

I love this film and just recently discovered that it was shot in Michigan. Coincidentally, I live in Michigan, so I was very excited to hear this news. I would very much like to visit the shooting locations. Does anyone have any details about where exactly in Michigan the film was shot? I'd need specifics: city, park, roads - all of the details if possible. Please help!
