Way long.
I think it depends on what kind of a history you have with Mortal Kombat. I am 24 years old now. I played the first game on Supernintendo at my cousin's house when it came out to consoles. His folks always bought him every console that came out plus a fux load of games. So my brother and I would sleep over at my cousin's house most weekends and we played Mortal Kombat andI couldn't say who was my favorite character at that time. All the following games too. Mortal Kombat II and what have you. Just little kids having fun playing these at-the-time violent games. It was the shizzle. Then the movie comes out. All of us went. Me, my brother, cousins and all. All of us kids being close to 10 years old. Packed theater. The movie starts, here we go. MORTAL KOMBAT!! Theme music plays. I get pumped. And you know what I loved it. It was a fun ride for a kid at that time. I remember when the scene on Shang Tsung's boat when Sub-Zero and Scorpion came out every 10 year old said both names in unison getting all excited and what not. When you're a kid that kind of stuff is what you got off on. I hadn't seen it in a while until recently on netflix. And yeah you can definitely notice the bad (terrible) CGI. And I really don't think the acting was too bad. It is cheesy at times. The dialog is pretty dumb at some points. funny at times. But you know what I still love it. I have good memories with this movie, the games, the days. Back In the 1990's.
As for being one of the WORST movies ever made. I would have to disagree because there are FUX LOADS of other movies that don't have as many fans of it like the way Mortal Kombat does.
