Why is this only a 5.8?
Thought this was a generally well-liked movie by fans. It's not perfect, but nowhere near a 5.8!

I'm guessing the only thing that takes away from it is some gore and fatalities. But PG13 was needed because teens are definitely the target market for this movie in 1995.
For the year it was made it looks amazing. 1995 wasn't the olden days but CGI characters were still a new thing and Goro looks pretty good. Reptile needed a little more work however.
*beep* the teens, they should've made it for adults and unleashed the gore and fatalities instead of wussing out

shareI hated it when it came out, Mortal Kombat was my favorite game and this movie had no blood at all, a very wimpy movie for a 13 years old blood-craving kid like I was.
Now I must admit it's pretty good for a videogame movie: the story is loyal enough, the casting is pretty good, Goro is well done, the music kicks ass and there's a few funny lines by Johnny Cage.
